Target killings: Two policemen among 5 killed

A police mobile was patrolling around Jail Road where two armed men fired at the vehicle.

QUETTA: Five people, including two policemen were killed in firing within a span of an hour in separate areas of the city. A police mobile was patrolling around Jail Road where two armed men fired at the vehicle, killing two police officials. When contacted the police said that they could not confirm the motive behind the killings. However, they said that the attack could be an incident of target killing. In a separate incident at Pood Gali Chowk, unidentified armed men opened fire and severely wounded two civilians. In a shooting episode at Arbab Karam, three armed men entered a shop and opened fire, leaving an inmate killed.  Meanwhile, unidentified armed men kidnapped a man on gunpoint from Hazargani, in the outskirts of Quetta and took him to an undisclosed location. Police have registered the cases and started an investigation. However no has been arrested as yet.
