Presidential Approval: FUUAST approves 3 choices for VC

They are: Dr Altaf Hussain, Prof. Dr Zafar Iqbal, Dr Moinuddin Ahmed.

KARACHI: The Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology’s (FUUAST) senate has sent to their chancellor, President Asif Ali Zardari, three choices for their new vice chancellor in the following order: Dr Altaf Hussain (former vice chancellor of Allama Iqbal Open University), Prof. Dr Zafar Iqbal, (arts faculty dean at Karachi University), and Dr Moinuddin Ahmed, (professor at FUUAST’s botany department). The senate unanimously decided to not consider the fourth candidate, Dr Shahid Mehboob Rana, who had remained vice chancellor of the Government College University Faisalabad, for the three-member list.
