Olympics: India fumes at ceremony intruder
The unidentified woman, dressed in a red top and blue pants, was seen walking alongside India's flag-bearer Sushil Kumar at Friday's ceremony even though she was not part of the contingent.
India's acting chef-de-mission Muralidharan Raja slammed the intrusion, but stopped short of calling it a security breach even though the woman was not wearing the customary identification badge.
"She had no business being there. It was a clear case of intrusion," Raja was quoted as saying by the Times of India. "We are taking up the issue with the organisers.
"We don't know who she is and why she was allowed to walk in. It is a shame that she was walking with our athletes.
"I can't say that (if it was a security breach) as she was in a sanitised zone, but this was bizarre. We will ask for an apology.
"She embarrassed us in front of the world. The Indian contingent was shown (on television) for just 10 seconds, and to think this lady hogged all the limelight."
Raja, asked if he believed the woman was an Indian, said: "She could be Asian, Latin American, I don't know."
India has fielded its largest Olympic contingent of 81 athletes with hopes of bettering its Beijing Games tally of one gold and two bronze medals.

This woman belongs to the same breed of Poonam Pandey,Rakhi Sawant etc..... She shamed a country of 120 crore,which already isn't much when we look at our medal tally.
Even 3 yr old kids have better common sense than this * beep * woman.
Does she have any idea how much effort the 88 atheletes have put in to walk in front of that crowd.?? I agree that there isnt much hope for medals other than boxing and rifle shooting.
This is even worse that the gaffe that Pakistani chief made during the Commonwealth games in Delhi.

Why are the Indian ladies holding their jackets in their hands. Hands should have been used for waving. If men wore their jackets, women too could have worn them.
The Pakistanis weren't smiling much. Why? I didn't like the commentator's comments also- "This is Pakistan. While the whole world watches Pakistan,..blah, blah...". They could certainly have worn a more brighter dress. Need not have green color in every thing. Shalwar ! Hmm!
She did it !! The Indian team isn't going to win any golds anyway. Let there be something to remember the Olympics for- the dresses and this sweet looking, merry making Indian girl. She must have lots of guts and cool to pull this off.

Why India is so concious and complaining, she might have liked the yellow colour for her sari and joined the troupe. Well, i think she was a friend of some athlete who is not speaking now. Indian head of the mission must investigate.

In my view if All Indian Athletes will be in that dress of Red Top and Blue Jeans then they would look better than present.
