Karachi has been in the grip of target killings for the past few weeks. Thirteen people were gunned down in the most recent spate of target killings on Thursday and Friday.
An ANP leader was killed on Thursday following which tension and violence gripped the city once again. The Sindh government had ordered security agencies to be on red alert, while several suspects had been arrested from various areas.
The city has remained tense since the killing of MQM leader Raza Haider.
