Murder charge: Police told to wrap up investigation

LAHORE: The interim bail granted to eight doctors, accused of killing an infant during the doctors’ strike, was extended till August 2 on Saturday.  Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Sattar Langah issued the orders for the extension after being told by the investigation officer that the police were yet to complete their investigation. The court directed the police official to complete the investigation and present the report in court at the next hearing. On Saturday, the doctors contended that the police have implicated them in a false case. They said they were at Services Hospital at the time of the incident.

The child, Fahad, had died at Mayo Hospital. They prayed the court to confirm their bail.
