Pak-Iran border: Smugglers abandon drug-laden vehicle

No arrest was reported. A case has been registered against the outlaws.

CHAGAI: Law enforcement personnel recovered a huge quantity of narcotics and arms following an encounter near the country’s border with Iran late Thursday night.

According to security sources, a suspected vehicle was signalled to stop for a spot check when unknown drug smugglers opened fire on law enforcers and they also retaliated. The smugglers abandoned their vehicle loaded with 149 kg hashish and three pistols.

No arrest was reported. A case has been registered against the outlaws.
