Shan Khusro case: Hearing adjourned till August 6

Case record likely to be distributed on the next hearing leading to an indictment.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Qayyum Khan on Friday adjourned till August 6 the hearing of a murder case against Shan Khusro, son of additional federal secretary and former commissioner of Lahore, Khusro Parvez.


Shan, accused of murdering a school fellow, Hamza Elahi, was produced before the court on Friday by the jail authorities. The judge adjourned the hearing without any development.

Copies of the case record are likely to be distributed on the next hearing leading to an indictment. Hamza Elahi, son of Shah Alam Market trader Sheikh Fazal Elahi, was found dead in DHA’s Phase-VIII.  His car was found in DHA’s Phase VI. His father said Hamza and Shan Khusro had gone out together for a drive.

Shan Khusro told police he had killed his friend by accident, panicked and thrown the body out before abandoning the car some distance away.
