Golden Years: KDA official retires after 34 years

KARACHI: A long-serving officer of the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), Mukarram Sultan Bukhari, retired from service on Tuesday. Bukhari served the KDA, City District Government Karachi and the Government of Sindh at different positions for over a career spanning 34 years. After being selected by the Sindh Public Service Commission, Bukhari joined the government service in 1978 as Information Officer in the Sindh government. Later, he joined KDA in 1981 as a public relations officer. He also served as Member Administration and Lands, Secretary and Director Recoveries in the KDA. Bukhari twice served as the director general, Public Relations, Sindh and as Deputy Secretary, Information Department. He also worked as a publicity consultant for the Export Promotion Bureau for around a year and a half. He also served as District Coordination Officer for ten years from 2001 to 2010.
