The MQM delegation met with JI leader Ameer Munawwar Hassan and other party leaders in Lahore.
The meeting comprised of talks on issues of national security after which, in a joint press conference, MQM leader Farooq Sattar and Munawwar Hassan said that a round table conference on issues of national security should be held so that consensus can be established, adding that meetings were the only way to resolve differences between political parties.
Munawwar Hassan said that the time for early elections had passed and that the government needs to be pressurised to hold elections on time.
Both parties agreed that the public was looking towards political parties right now and they will have to reach consensus till a transitional government is formed and elections take place.

@B+: Thanks, but keep ready to hear my complaints and listen them with open mind, there is possibility that I might be right, our objective is not to proof who is right or wrong but to listen each other without getting upset or passing judgment. love you all, and always, check line lose in Karachi, and uneven load shading in different part of Pakistan. We are one, in hardship and time of joy. It should be over now so that we can learn and talk about other matters. Remember I said love you all.
@Mohd Butt: I love each and every Pakistani, and the day when we start accepting each other rights and respect each other I am sure Pakistan will prosper..Anyways RESPECT...
@B+: I like Karachi to the extend of love, you dislike every one or only posing so, Some comments are only for poking, learn to ignor them, are you new is Karachi, Karachi peoples are famous for cool head, and nice you get upset on minor things and pass judgments. Let us finish here, some where else we will counter, ask MQM to visit PML N with open heart and mind to find way out to avoid possible bad future governament. We all need better future and had to work it out.
@Mohd Butt:"Please note my comments are for A+ also," What does that mean? my id is B+ means "B-positive" not "B-plus", this shows your intellect... Anyways I never said that Karachi is not part of Sindh or Pakistan. This is a mind set of your who cannot think out of the biased box. I think people like you needs to start thinking as a Pakistani first as all Karachiites do and start learning from Karachiites to how to make Pakistan prosper..Proud to be a PAKISTANI...
@azeem: If political parties will not make political move then what will they do? nothing wrong, they should visit PML N head office also.
All my dear who had comments on my comments, this artical is about MQM and JI meeting, let us focus on it only here. about our discussion we will do on other place other time, with all due respect to each other. No hate, no bully no accusation, no attack. Love you all still our brothers.
@azeem: its meeting not sitting in lap. what do you want? kill them? if kill them then you say they are terrorist. make up your mind. you want peace or politics? PTI is in lap of JI and TTP. never condemn a single event of suicide bombing or taliban killing but marching to FATA. IK is showing signs of aging...
@B+: Please note my comments are for A+ also, By shooting hate comments you only expose your mind, if you were awake then you will not make these comments. Karachi and port of Karachi belong to Sind and Pakistan, any one living there does not change the fact as no one can own it, it is to the people of Pakistan. as you said you have so much in karachi, that created imbalance and now you are facing ANP. More will still come as all concentrations is incorrect. All this is generated in Pakistan with the source of pakistan, live for Pakistan and some time out of Karachi also, there are beautiful places other than your city also.
@Hasan: You could make points without judging me or the state of my mind. I dont need your help to know myself, you just read what you wrote and read with open mind and eys. MQM is representative of peoples and I respect that, I don't hate, but I don't know about any one else including yourself, KESC is private co. Is it the only private co producing power? Almost all power producers are private, the power generated is not equally shared and distributed. When rightfull distribution of the share is to be considered Transport cost is not important, compensation which you claim is not done. That is the point. And beside that take information from any international and or national source they will tell you line lose (stealing) is highest in Karachi, and then used power is not paid also. How come MQM don't control it? They had showen the control they have on the Karachi had they not? Political parties must bring justice within their political influenced area and expand all over the country. Still love you and you don't need to make hate comment before making your point. Anger kills and first victim is logic.
With elections imminent, MQM has started changing colors, after all they are part of every government and PPP doesn't stand much a chance in the coming elections.
@ Mohd Butt: Stop living in dream world, if you don't accept the facts you will always be in sleep mode... First of all why should I take out Port revenue? if you guys are so efficient why don't you have ports some where else from where you can generate revenues? besides port Karachi is a hub for business activities + Corporate Banking + Stocks + Pharmaceuticals + Industrial production + Media Head offices + Petroleum + Universities and list goes on...So please wake up and stop being biased.
@Faiz Ahmed: My reply is only for people like Mohd Butt... we never complained about the revenues but if someone start saying that Karachiites are steeling Punjab's electricity then he needs a reply...
@Mohd Butt:
Again have some sense, and thing your thoughts through before posting, I know you mind is full of false hatred; but that shouldn't be blocking your mindset and ability to think.
I said ALL of electricity produced is distrbuted evenly. By ALL I mean ALL; not just the one produced on the ships; if you are to think logically you can understand that there is transportation cost involved while transferred energy; so Karachi or related area do get all of the energy from those ships; but a compensated for in there overall share; hence ALL OF THE ELECTRICITY PRODUCED is shared evenly amongst Pakistan; related to there density.
Secondly, if you would've done your research you would've know KESC is a private corporation now; no govt involvement; least to say MQM. So I don't even know why you are blaming MQM. Heck I don't even know who you are blaming.
Please think your through through; like I said earlier the fake planted hatred should not effect you ability to think.
Every part of this country is important Pakistan is incomplete without Karachi and Lahore as well Butt sahab and all pakistanis should start thinking about pakistan as whole and stop this karachi lahore fight there is nothing to gain from it. And sir I have lived all my life in Karachi and trust me sir there is load shedding in Karachi as well like punjab and there is no ships giving electrcity to karachi as our hounarable chief justice sahab has taking a suo moto notice and has halted the programme .... And for @B+ mate karachi generates revenues for pakistan not for it self karachi is part of pakistan pakistan is not part of karachi......... Long Live Pakistan
@Hasan: Dear how can you miss the point, I am talking those turkish power generating ships, the cost more than any thing, they produce power only for Karachi but all Pakistan pays for that. Talk about the point no need to label any one. It is the job of Karachi leadership to present in at the national tv if their hands are on facts other than said. Still love you all. No need to get upset.
@B+: When facts are presented, start attacks, 70 % revevue of what, show some proof otherwise it is mear talk. Take out port revenue then tell us what revenue Karachi generate. The leadership of Karachi should denied the facts in press or on national tv if the have different fact. Hate game will not work, label hate any one differs with you.
@ Mohd Butt; Karachi generates 70% of revenue, out of which a large share is stolen by Punjab which is rightful share of Karachi, so you guys first stop stealing our revenue then talk about other things..This reply is specifically for you as we Karachiites love Punjab and people of Punjab except people like you.
@ Mohd Butt; Maybe you should get you facts straighten first; ALL areas of KARACHI are facing FAIR Share of load shedding; Have a port in Lahore and all of the ships will come there (at least put some logic into your throught); ALL of electricity produced is distrbuted evenly. It is all a propaganda made-up by certain people; which has caused such hatred.
@Faiz Ahmed: And out of my comments you only picked what suits you, what about other comments, hate is in your mind otherwise you will read how many time I said brothers? And if it is propaganda then tell me why in karachi there is not load shedding like Punjab? How come ships produce power for Karachi and all Pakistan pay for that. Karachi Line lose otherwise stealing is not fact? And then not paying what is used is also propaganda? Get what is your fare share, more if you get then you can not called hate or propagaanda. Fact don't chang with label. Love you all Pakistanis.
Amazing Pakistani politics with no values due to which the future is bleak. Now JI is acceptable to the so-called progressive parties as it is meeting MQM. MQM is sitting in the government and supporting Raja rental and the governement in all its ill deeds. MQM first leave the government with which they are clinging for the last four years. Then they should form a consensus for interim government. JI should also stop affairs with the parties in the government such as PML-N, MQM, JUI-F, etc. Otherwise they will be loser and looks like a party with zero values.
@ Mohd Butt I would like to say only one thing irresepective of your affliation to PML-N you should stop propagating hate speech it is about time we stop this carizeness and start thinking about pakistan. Are we stealing your electrcity that is just a mere propganda of that chotay Mian Sahab Please I request every citizen of this country to stop hate speech and racial profiling amongst your fellow countrymen.
Pakistanis do not deserve democracy, as people are too immature to have democratic system for another 25 years.
Looking back at our history, the real development was made during Field Marshal Mohammad Ayub Khan's era and then the grip of military dictators start losing.
During former COAS Zia-ul-Haq's rule, resistance was the main cause between the democratic forces and martial law with some incomplete and unfinished goals. He was the one who wanted to become Ameer-ul-Momineen in the military uniform.
During Musharraf's era, the pace of development was very slow but the ugliest thing which happened was that Musharraf became partner of former US George W. Bush in fighting unending war on terror in Pakistan, which has shaken the entire country by the suicide bombers, bomb blasts and other various heinous crimes.
What Pakistan require now in order to take the country forward in every sphere of life is to have a 50-50 military-civilian rule without having collaboration with any right or left wing political parties or religious-political parties, in order to have a complete control on things which seems to be going out of hands with every passing day.
Visiting Lahore, JI office,New trap, or playing smart? they are welcome in Lahore like brothers, but if they behave like that, and stop stealing electricity which is rightful share of Punjab. Take only your share are pay also. smart, cheat, but still our brothers.
Many of you may not agree or support either of these parties or there motive. But you cannot deny that fact that we (Pakistani's) desparetly need to establish consensus for national solidarity. Otherwise the future or the survival of this country is not in sight.
MQM should realize that it is a secular party which has a lot of sympathy and support among progressive Pakistanis. In this backdrop, PPP and ANP are their natural allies. MQM will gain nothing by standing next to the openly pro-Taliban and pro-Alqaeda Jamaat-e-Isalmi. In the past, JI has left no stones unturned in maligning the MQM. MQM will never benefit from aligning with the right wing parties like JI, PTI, and PML-N.
wah re wah when pti meets ji it is called taliban supporters so when mqm meets ji what should it be called ..??? hypocrisy at it's best
Alas ! a city once was karachi !
Surprise surprise
politics has no religion
