Cricket: ‘DRS set for Australia ODIs’

KARACHI:

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has ‘almost’ finalised arrangements to use the Decision Review System (DRS) in the upcoming three-match One-Day International (ODI) series against Australia in the UAE.

Pakistan will ‘host’ the three ODIs, starting in August, before the two teams contest a three-match Twenty20 series.

According to a PCB official, the board has almost finalised the use of the technology for the ODI rubber. “We’ve roped in the sponsors and hopefully it will be implemented,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune.

The need for the DRS was felt during Pakistan’s recent tour of Sri Lanka with players from both sides stressing for its regular use.
