The office also urged citizens already in Syria to contact the Pakistan Embassy in Damascus for assistance at the following contact numbers: 00963-11-6132694/5.
This word of warning comes in as the situation deteriorates in the country with Syrian forces having launched an all-out assault on opposition strongholds in Damascus, after rebels seized crossings on the Iraq and Turkey borders amid a heavy death toll.
Rebel fighters also clashed with troops in several neighbourhoods of Aleppo in what the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said was the fiercest fighting so far in Syria’s second city.

Its funny to see ET not reporting much about the killings in the US by a crazy guy.
Foreign office is funny xD As if we are safe here.
@Qhats_wrong
Sorry, the biggest supporters of these "rebels" are the royal Sauds, your 'big friends' remember. Indeed it is against Iran ~ Shias.
@Shadab: Sad that you have no understanding of how dangerous things are in many Arab states including Syria and Yemen. Maybe we should ask you to go there for a few days and I'm sure you'll be crying to go to Karachi. No matter how unsafe we may think things are in Pakistan, we know only too well that it is nothing compared to the human suffering going on in many Muslim countries like Syria.
Sad to say but there should be a travel advisory against travelling to all Muslim countries since none of them are safe - be it Somalia, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Iraq Afghanistan etc. These places are even worse than Karachi.
its a shame that no media coverage has been given to "Burma Muslim massacre" more than 20,000 muslims has been slaughtered for the past one month, and whole 'electronic media' and muslim world seems to be in deep slumber, wake up media its your duty to keep people aware, if you shut your eyes then it makes one believe that you guys are playing in the hands of others!
Turkey, USA, Israel, Nato all are after Syria...All these countries are supporting the rebels. The reason is simple to weaken Iran.
Is this a sick joke!
Foreign office of Pakistan would be soon issuing advisory to its own citizens- 'Live in Pakistan at your own risk'.
Wao ! Amazing advises on Syria ! but Pakistan see itself today how many peoples has been killed including school children. Pakistan is at least not less than Syria in lawlessness, gang wars and bomb blasts.
what a BS from Foreign office ! how about giving security to the people who LIVE IN Pakistan first???
FO sounds like Pakistan is safe to Live
Hahahahahhahaha ... yeah right !!!! tell it to poor Karachiites who want to go there for some leisure and safety in Ramadaan !!!!
deteriorating security situation Foreign office should advises Pakistanis against travelling to Karachi.
Pakistan has to send Army to Syria along with C130 to airlift Paksitanis from there to bring them safely.
A rare expression of citizen's care coming out of foreign office...positive indeed
What about USA?
I am sure Syrian foreign office has issued similar warning!!!!
"In view of the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan, the Foreign office strongly advises all citizens against traveling to that country" usually a typical posting in all countries of the global village. Pakistani's should feel at home it is a muslim country with simillar law and order situation. Reminds me of Rev Jessie Jackson's famous quote on his safety concern in the black neighbourgood. The future notice will be "In view of the rising cases of Polio in Pakistan, the Foreign office strongly advises all citizens against traveling to that country"
deteriorating security situation Foreign office should advises Pakistanis against travelling to Karachi.
Pakistanis are travelling to Syria that too on with visa? May be this warning was issued to keep the over excited ghairatmands from entering Syria for Jihad.
bee safe! heil!
