Pakistan-India to meet on Wednesday to further CBM talks

The Working Group will discuss Confidence Building Measures to facilitate travel and trade across the Line of Control

ISLAMABAD: The meeting of Pakistan-India Working Group on Cross-LoC confidence building measures is due to be held in Islamabad on Wednesday, July 18, with both countries looking for further strengthening bilateral ties.

The Pakistan delegation will be headed by Zehra Akbari, Director General (South Asia), Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Indian side will be led by YK Sinha, Joint Secretary (PAI), Ministry of External Affairs.

The Joint Working Group is meeting in pursuance of the decision taken during the Foreign Secretary level talks on Peace and Security including CBMs, Jammu & Kashmir and Friendly Exchanges held between July 4 and 5, 2012 in New Delhi.

The Working Group will discuss Confidence Building Measures to facilitate travel and trade across the Line of Control (LoC).
