Social entrepreneurship: FATA youth given training
ISLAMABAD:
Through field experience, over 40 youth from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) were trained in social entrepreneurship and problem-solving techniques. The seven-day capacity building programme, organised by YES Network Pakistan and conducted on a self-help basis, concluded here on Monday. Youth from different backgrounds were selected for the programme to become trainers. They will now return to their respective areas to impart learnt skills on social entrepreneurship and problem-solving techniques to hundreds of youth in FATA. The participants spent one day in field to apply their gained knowledge and skills. They developed a social enterprise plan to address local problems by following both earned and unearned strategies. Speaking at the occasion, YES Network Pakistan’s Chief Executive Officer Ali Raza Khan said, “The enthusiasm, energy and hunger for change witnessed during the workshop needs to be carried on for solutions.”
