KARACHI: Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA) has announced the scheduling of the inaugural RLCA Ramazan Floodlit Football Tournament at the Korangi stadium yesterday. The tournament, expected to kick off on the first day of Ramazan, will feature top departmental teams including national champions KRL along with Army, HBL, KESC, NBP and Pakistan Navy. Rashid Latif said that he wants to promote football in the city. "Football is my love and we’re launching this event involving leading Karachi teams,” said the former Pakistan wicket-keeper. "This is our first step towards promoting and developing football in the metropolis." He added that former Pakistan football greats will be invited as chief guests for the encouragement of players. Latif also hoped for a good attendance at the stadium for the football matches.
