National bank: Brohi appointed chief operating officer

KARACHI: Noted banker Dr Asif A Brohi has been appointed chief operating officer of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), says a press release. He has also been appointed chairman of the board of subsidiaries – NBP Exchange Company and NBP Capital Limited. Brohi joined the bank in 1984 and held numerous senior management positions at the regional and head office levels. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Literature from the University of Sindh, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from USA and Doctorate in Public Administration from Karachi University.
