FAISALABAD: Two men were acquitted of policeman’s murder charges by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Friday. Ashiq Hussain and Zulfiqar, under arrest for Inspector Tahir Sheikh’s murder since December 2011, were given benefit of doubt and released. A third suspect arrested in the killing of the inspector, then posted as Chiniot City police station house officer, was shot and killed in, what the police claimed was, an attempt to escape from a court where he had been taken for a hearing.
