QUETTA: At least four people were killed and one was injured in separate incidents of violence in Quetta on Friday.

According to the police, unidentified armed men opened fire at people on the Samungli Road of Khezai chowk, killing two persons identified as Haji Wazir Khan and Haji Nek Muhammad Khilji.

The bodies were moved to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for post-mortem.

The police said that the attack was a case of personal enmity.

In a separate incident, unidentified armed men shot dead one Noor Allam in the Sariab Mill area and fled from the scene.

Meanwhile, in another similar incident in the Saryab locality, unidentified men barged into a house in Bank Colony and killed one Muhammad Tahir. The victim belonged to the Sargoda area of Punjab.

The bodies were shifted to hospitals for autopsy and were later handed over to their respective family members for burial. The motive behind the murders could not be ascertained; however, the police suspect that the killing of Tahir could be a case of target killing.

The police also recovered a body from the outskirts of Quetta and shifted it to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. The identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, a woman identified as Zarin Bibi sustained serious wounds when she stepped on a landmine laid by unidentified people in Jaffarabad. She was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
