In captivity: Three Hindus kidnapped from Khairpur

SUKKUR: Hindu Panchayat Thull president and two others were kidnapped from Babarloi police limits in Khairpur district late on Wednesday. Ramesh Lal, Rice Millers Association Thull general secretary Ashok Kumar, trader Hari Das and their driver Baboo Lashari were returning from Karachi when they were intercepted by bandits, who later took them into their custody. The kidnappers reportedly released Lashari after travelling for a while, but took all the Hindus with them. However, police said that it chased the kidnappers after hearing the hostages’ cries for help. Khairpur ASP Yar Mohammad Rind told The Express Tribune that police found Lashari from a banana orchid, and that they were interrogating him.
