Political leaders and cabinet members paid rich tribute to Prince Karim Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Ismaili community, on Wednesday and praised his contribution towards humanity.
Addressing a gathering to mark “Imamat Day”, the Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Mehdi Shah appreciated Khan’s services in spreading education and health facilities in the region. He also lauded Khan for his humanitarian work in war-torn Afghanistan.
The event was marked by cutting a cake at the chief minister’s house. Among those present were G-B Legislative Assembly Speaker Wazir Baig, members of the Ismaili community and PPP workers.
Earlier, Professor Manzoor, a representative of the Ismaili community, thanked the government for acknowledging Khan’s efforts and pledged to play a more proactive role in the welfare of the region in future. The day is celebrated every year to mark the anniversary of the present Imam.

A person who discredits another persons' faith is likely insecure about his/her own faith. By discrediting another persons' faith, the individual gets the feeling that he/she is superior, but forgets that it is only in his/her own eyes that he perceives as such. Muslims think only their religion is right, and discredit every other religion in the world.
Muslims forget the example (Sharia) that Holy Prophet left for us. We are told of the story of a non-muslim lady who use to throw garbage at the Holy Prophet, but the Prophet did not get angry or upset with the lady. Suddenly, the lady stopped throwing garbage at the Holy Prophet and hence he inquired why that was the case and found out that she was sick. He visited her and prayed for her well-being.
We should learn from this example. If Muslims think that they can convert 7 billion people to Islam, I am quite certain that they will fail miserably. Muslims should realize that we have to share this planet with people from other religions, and people from other religions should realize that Islam will always be one of the influential religions in this world. This is the only way peace can be achieved - acceptance of differences, and living together in harmony.
Islam and the Holy Quran has never teaches us to be judgmental and decide who is Muslim and who is not. As far as the Ismaili are concerned, they are known for their struggle for education, quality of life, belief in core values of Islam and teachings of the Quran.Ismailies believe in diversity and making it a strength.Lets come towards our commonalities instead of finding differences and build on them for the unity and strength of the Ummah
@Awan The Ismailis differ with us Shia on the question of the correct Imam and their neglect of religious practices, to us they are misguided, but they dont believe in any prophet after Muhammad (pbuh).
And they are moneyed people because their leadership is smart and their ranks are disciplined. Gotta give credit where its due.
Followers of Aga Khan believe in Educating themselves. The education changes your way of thinking.
Ismailies are true Muslims of Shia sect of Islam. They believe in Shahada, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the holy Quran. They are highly educated and liberal muslims strongly believe in pluralism and against terrorism.
It would be better especially for you to Improve Knowledge. The Ismailis strongly believe in Shahadah and that Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is last Messenger of God as well as that Holy Quran is the final message of Allah towards humanity. However it is their belief that Din aur Dunya are not separate and it is in conformity with Din that Ummah must improve their quality of life through all possible means in order to compete with contemporary world. Aga khan and His Followers believe in that there is no Stern (Jabr) in Deen and Terrorism is strictly against the teachings of Islam. It is by virtue of their Practice of Faith that Ismailis are truly considered the Most Organised and Educated Community of Islam engaged in the service of Ummah and the Humanity. And this is not said by me, this is Said by Great World Leaders, and even your Sunni Imams of Great Mosques!
The ideas of Ismailis are more Heretic than Ahmedis for Sunnis but since Prince Karim Agha Khan is a Billionaire and Agha Khanis are pretty rich so Pakistani government and people never dare to say anything against them and declare them Muslims as for Pakistanis Money is a Religion as well and so according to those values Only Ahmedis deserve to be Non Muslims as most of the Ahmedis are poor people mostly from Villages of Punjab. What type of country it is and what rules govern this country i dont know,
