Health services: World Population Day today
Some 222 million women worldwide lack access to effective family planning services.

World Population Day will be observed on Wednesday (today) with the theme, Universal Access to Reproductive Health Services. The Population Welfare Department will arrange a seminar on July 13 (Friday) in this connection.
Reproductive health problems remain leading cause health issues among women of childbearing age worldwide. Some 222 million women worldwide lack access to effective family planning services. Nearly 800 women die every day during labour.
