Monsoon emergency: Response centres set up in AJK

Centres established in all 10 districts of AJK under the supervision of the District Disaster Management Authority

MIRPUR: Response centres have been set up in every district of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to respond to flood emergencies during monsoon rains, Mirpur Deputy Commissioner (DC) Masudur Rehman said on Monday. He said that the centres have been established in all 10 districts of AJK under the supervision of the District Disaster Management Authority. He said the centres will function to monitor, assess and respond to any flood emergency across AJK, with focus on the low-lying areas close to Mangla Lake and other water channels.
