The victim’s father, Azim*, lodged an FIR with the Pher Pur Police Station against the accused under section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code. The accused was presented before a local magistrate, Naveedullah, who sent him to DI Khan Central Jail on judicial remand.
Despite repeated attempts, the victim’s father could not be contacted for comments. However, a resident of Bhodan confided in The Express Tribune that the elders of the locality are negotiating with the victim’s family to settle the matter out of court.
