Missing persons: 'Mutilated bodies surface when SC hears case in Quetta'
Heading a three-member larger bench, Justice Chaudhry said, “Just yesterday (Sunday) four mutilated bodies were recovered; you [the authorities] are not taking it seriously.”
The advocate general of Balochistan informed the chief justice that the bodies recovered were not mutilated and that they died in an encounter with the Frontier Corps (FC).
He further said that if the chief justice wanted, he could order the chief justice of Balochistan High Court to investigate the incident.
While reprimanding the home secretary of Balochistan, the chief justice said that the security situation in the province is worsening and that they have destroyed peace in Balochistan.
A representative of the Defence Ministry informed the court that the families of the people who take refuge in “hiding camps” are usually unaware about it.
The advocate general said that evidence should be presented before the court regarding their presence in the camps.
The Supreme Court rejected the report submitted by the defence secretary regarding missing persons.
The court also gave a 15-day deadline to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to stop the use of illegal cars in the province.

I can see from the the comments that Punjabis are getting very angry. The so called insurgents (terrorists) in Baloochistan by their actions of killing poor Punjabis have managed to alienate public opinion in Punjab - except for the professional NGO's and campaigners. The sympathy for the problems of Baloochistan is lost. Punjab was beginning to pay heed to the issues of Baloochistan. This would have made a difference. Now Punjab does not want to hear about the grievances of Baloochistan because the BLA have proved to be murderers and Balooch leaders like Mengal have refused to acknowledge the deaths or express condolences to the families.
Bringing East Pakistan in into the equation makes no sense. The situation is completly different the comparisons are superficial.Pakistan has a Sindhi/Balooch President, there is an assembly with a huge cabinet in Balochistan. Three of the parties in the governement have no Punjabi representation (ANP, BNP and the MQM). Balloch waderas dominate politics in SIndh, Punjab and Baloochistan. The former president who blew up Bugti was from Karachi - Yet still they think that killing poor Punjabis they will gain something. They will gain naught except the wrath and hatred of a significant number of people who could have been their allies.

No contempt proceedings CJ? You had even threatened to call the COAS to testify. What happened to everybody being under the law.
@ABC: exactly this mindset ( blaming people as RAW & KGB agents,when they stand up for their rights) resulted into the tragedy of east pakistan and now has put Balochistan on fire. before blaming someone please go around Balochistan and see if there are any roads in interior or for that matter any other sign of development. rather than sympathizing with them we isolate them by branding them agents.

The truth has been compromised in this news item. A wrong caption followed by a wrong picture for the pleasure of those who would like to see Pakistan and its institutions defamed.
This photo has nothing to do with the case of supreme court. These are the bodies of Punjabis and Pashtuns killed proudly by BLA while they were travelling to Iran in search of jobs. Those killed in encounter with FC were involved in kidnapping of a doctor from Mastung Dr Abdullah Jan Bareach. The doctor was recovered from their captivity. If the judiciary considers the deaths of terrorists as a message for them then they are standing on the wrong side.
This is the reality of Pakistan. Pakistan talks human right violation in Kashmir but what they are doing with the people of Balochistan is in front of everyone.
Let us see the all powerful CJ who can pack up a PM can even nudge "Deep state" when it comes to Balochistan! No way, No chance!
One law for elected civilians and another for Uniformed one!

The PM lost his job for not writing a letter to the Swiss authorities. No action against those involved in extra judicial killings of fellow citizens smells of PPP centric approach of the judiciary.
There are more bad boys in Balothistan, my bad boy is not the only one please. CJ should know that, and dirty politic is going on also which is making points by the dead bodies of all kind of humans. It must be stopped please.
Are the missing ppl more 'human' than the rest of the people being killed in balochistan? Is their DNA superior than that of the Punjabis and others being killed in Balochistan.Why all the media hype only for the missing ppl.

The missing persons is a favorite topic of the media and the NGO's ,that's why it gets all the attention and state concern.The settlers have had to suffer in silence because the media has a deliberate policy of ignoring their plight,the suffering of the punjabis is of no interest to the news channels,so nobody in the legal fraternity cares about them as well.
Why is there no suo moto on the deliberate killings of settlers in balochistan? 18 punjabis were killed by pulling them off a bus,but there was no judicial action on that.Why is all the concern only for the missing persons and none for the settlers?
