Polio immunisation: Children to be given essential nutrients

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory will offer children essential nutrients along with the polio vaccine during the upcoming polio campaign starting from July 16. Islamabad DC Amir Ali Ahmed said Polio Plus has been designed to give essential nutrients to children below the age of five along with the polio vaccine. He said it is believed that polio campaigns usually disturb the routine immunisation of the child’s body, therefore it has been decided that packets of ORS and vitamin supplements will be distributed among parents for their children in addition to polio vaccination this time. Polio Plus will be offered at polio camps to be set up at fixed points for The Expanded Programme on Immunisation based in basic health units in rural areas.

Why are the people of pakistan being kept in the dark about the risks to their children because of the polio vaccine!

For instance, according to Polio Global Eradication Initiative’s own statistics, up to 180 vaccinated children in India fall a prey to VAPP each year. This stands at a hair-raising incidence 3 to 4 times higher than polio caused by the wild polio virus. The medicine seems deadlier than the disease itself. Or to say, the medicine is the disease.

Add to that Pakistans statistics in which close to 80% of recent polio cases are reported among children who had been vaccinated for polio. This is a shockingly high figure: of 136 polio cases, 107 were those vaccinated for the disease.

If you don't believe these numers just go to google, and let me make it easy for you by just posting one single article of many:
