SWAT: Members of the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Swat Chapter staged a protest over the arrest of their colleagues in front of Swat Press Club on Friday. They warned of a provincial agitation if the arrested were not released by the government. The protestors held placards and banners inscribed of slogans against the government, demanding their colleagues’ urgent release. They also raised slogans. While addressing the angry mob, the PTI District President Dr Amjad said that few days back, they held a protest over prolonged loadsheding at Charbagh Tehsil. However, some of the protestors were arrested for blocking the road. “Protest against any kind of injustice in the society, is the right of public but it’s ironic that the democratically-elected government is snatching this right from the public, which is in no way justifiable.” He warned the government that if their workers were not released immediately, they would extend their agitation.
