NATO supply resumption: Religious parties protest across Pakistan
In Lahore, Jamiat Ahle Hadees protested on Lawrence Road. Party head Allama Ibtesam Ilahi said that the rally will move towards Islamabad in efforts to stop the Nato supplies.
Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) and Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) took out rallies in Karachi, where US flags were set on fire while the protesters said that political leaders were "slaves of the US".
JuD and Muttahida Shehri Mahaaz protested in Multan, while JI took out a rally in Rahimyar Khan.
A protest rally was also taken out from the press club to Ghaas Mandi in Dera Ismail Khan.
The supply routes to Nato forces in Afghanistan were recently reopened by the Pakistani government after the US apologised for the Nato cross-border attack which killed 24 Pakistani soldiers last year.
Pakistan, after closing the supply routes in retaliation to the attack, had insisted that the US give a formal apology over the incident.

Mostly Jamati end up in US , so no wonder they are upset Their Tax money going towards the people of Pakistan.

this protest itself is the answer of your comments,if NETO supply not suspend then the killing of shias and ahemedis will continue.i think u r not in touch with media and social media,but these protesters always in action when Pakistani killed by any enemy,whether he is killed by talban or Pakistani, afghan,American,Indian or any other agency,how poor and senseless people u r?can u imagine that if Taliban killed any Pakistani,why he will take responsibility?if they take responsibility then where is their offices or camps from there they are working,if they are working from Pakistan then what our agencies and media are doing?if any journalist interviewed any Taliban leader how cant army and agencies question the journalist about hide out of that leader, if US Israel killed Hamas leader shaikh yaseen and Chechen leader jaffer by leaser technology then why not Pakistani agencies do the work.if agencies can catch and handover the thousand of innocents Sunni Muslims to US and other countries how they cant arrest them.as far as question of drone attacks by US it will continue till Pakistani reply.
The procession should be taken out in Capital city Islamabad not in Karachi.

@HUSSAINI: Afia has been tried and convicted. Therefore by definition is a criminal and you should not be thinking of protests. The two individuals who were killed by a CIA contractor were armed and were following him so I would assume that was done in self defense. You would probably have done the same if two armed men were following you.

Protest is good. We should not allow US to kill our fellow muslim bothers in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

I may not believe in anything they stand for but it's called "freedom of speech" and it beats shooting, burning, kidnapping etc everyday.
And what is this going to achieve?
All i can say is Pakistan has reached a point of no return. It is difficult to erase Zia's legacy.The real game starts when US pulls out of Afghanistan in 2014.
Oh so they've woken up? There was a poor guy burnt alive in the name of Islam. Where's the protest against that?
Who is to protect the interests of the Pakistan? We have seen the politicians and establishment, both are on the same page when it comes to ruin our beloved country. First get rid of the beggar state and then look forward to any normality. Protest yield nothing in this country, because everyone is so busy in protecting one's own interests. No one cares for the Pakistan!
I wonder how many of these Islamist parties protested against the cold blooded murder of the poor mentally challenged man who was set on fire by a mob of other sympathizers of the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
This is a 'mad, mad world' and it's very sad, sad experience to watch this being done to us!
