Culture Promotion: Horses dancing to the beat of the dhol

BAHAWALPUR:

The Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab (TDCP) is organising its first horse dancing festival on July 8 (Sunday) at the Laal Sohanra National Park. The event is being promoted as a tourist attraction.

TDCP manager Shahid Mehmood visited the Laal Sohanra National Park on Thursday to ensure that proper arrangements had been made. He told the participants that only well trained dancing and race horses would participate in the event. The manager said that horses will dance to the beat of the dhol. The purpose of this event, he said, was to promote the culture of Punjab. Mehmood also visited the race track and the area where the house dancing was slated to take place. Rana Basharat, the organiser of the event, was also present on this occasion.
