According to a report by Express News, Bucha took the decision after meeting former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani. He was contesting on NA-151 as an independent candidate after his party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), reportedly refused to hand him a ticket.
The seat fell vacant after former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani was disqualified from his post by the Supreme Court in a contempt case. Gilani’s elder son Abdul Qadir Gilani and Shaukat Bosan of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had filed papers to contest on the seat.
Earlier, Bucha had left PPP to join the PML-N to contest the seat. He had declared that he would not let Abdul Qadir “get a vote of sympathy from the public and make fools of them afterwards with corruption.”

@Awans: They know they can't win so that is why or there are differences with SMQ that led to it....
Both Nawaz league and PTI are supporting a joint candidate against PPP but Takht-e-Lahore will receive a heavy blow.
It shows a principled stance of PML-N by not allotting ticket to a newcomer, who has perhaps joined the party merely for the greed of ticket. Secondly, the PML-N did not want to divide the rightist votebank and tried to give a way to Sikander Hayat Bosan to contest one-on-one against Abdul Qadir Gillani (a.k.a. Bunny). It will be unfair if Qureshis, Hashmis and Bosans do not run the campaign and make Bunny a winner and continue with NICL and Hajj Corruption :(
I am disappointed that with Such Heavy weights like Shah Mahmoud and Javed Hashmi PTI is not contesting for this seat. Even if PTI's candidate could win he would have more than 6 months to prove his worth there and we could also have a trailer that what is in store us from PTI. Also if 90 days formula of Imran Khan is true then i think 6 months are more than enough to make Multan a Corruption free and progressive city but PTI as usual boycotted the election and give a clean chit to Gailanis.
