Snooker: World championship camp ends early

KARACHI: The Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) training camp for the World U21 Snooker Championship ended four days before its scheduled completion as players, Mohammad Majid and Hunain Amir, were required to submit police clearance letters to the association. Majid and Amir were being trained by former amateur world champion Mohammad Yousuf in Islamabad for the event that will be held in China from July 14. “Both of them required NOCs from their areas’ police station, which is necessary for their clearance to fly and that’s why the camp has been called off,” a PBSA official told The Express Tribune. “They probably would have to train on their own for a few days before they leave for China.”
