India to hand over Abu Hamza’s ‘Pakistani passport’
India will give Pakistan information it has gathered on alleged Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Syed Zabiuddin Ansari, alias Abu Hamza, the handler of the terrorists involved in the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, during the Indo-Pak foreign secretary-level talks in New Delhi on Wednesday including the passport purportedly issued by Pakistan, according to a report by India today.
Along with Abu Hamza’s Pakistani passport, the visiting delegation will also be given Pakistani domestic identity cards issued to the self-confessed terrorist, both of which show his name as Riyasat Ali.
Abu Hamza allegedly used the passport to enter Saudi Arabia in 2010 to recruit young immigrant Indians for future operations of LeT in India. The passport, copies of which have been obtained by Indian channel NDTV, show his permanent address as Muridke in Sheikhupura, Pakistan.

My understanding is that when a Pakistani national outside of Pakistan applies for a Passport renewal it takes 40 days as it has to go to Islamabad to Interior ministry. Not too long ago Interior Ministry reported loss of 4000 Passports. Is it possible Abu's passport is one of those missing ones and if it is does, it means all of those missing are infact missing for this purpose? Am I crazy to connect these dots?

It was reported that Pakistan Govt also claimed to KSA that he should be sent to Pak because he was a PAKISTANI.India did same.Indians matched DNA with his family to presented to KSA. So if Passport was fake,then why our Govt contested?
The passport, made of paper, will be dismissed as "literature". there is nothing "concrete" in it.

As pointed out by a few Pakistanis ,it is quiet possible that Zabiuddin Ansari aka Abu Hamza aka Abu Zundal,might have greased a few palms in order to get a fake Pakistani Passport,but.....the thing which is difficult to digest is why were Pakistani authorities going out of their way to salvage his cause? apparently they had done their homework.

Dear bro, this Riyasat Ali was in Saudi custody for more than a year now and Pakistan Army (read some other agency) tried its best to prevent his repatriation to India. Two months back even Gen. Kayani went to Saudi Arabia under the garb of Haj to put pressure on Saudi royal family to get this Riyasat Ali sent back to Pakistan. Have you ever heard before any Pak COAS accompanying the Prime Minister for Ummah? Well, when the guy in question is that important to the Army chief, then his passport or overseas id card need not be bought with money. Or probably you are one of those guys who think that it is the holy duty of the Pak Army Chief to accompany the Prime Minister so as to ensure personal security of the Head of the Government. That would be noble thinking indeed!

If you have enough money, any thing can be bought in Pakistan due to corrupt officials. Getting ID card and passport is one of the cheapest deals. Thousands of Afghan refugees and illegal Bangladeshi immigrants have already done the same. Secondly, identity theft - which is a single biggest crime in Western Europe and North America - is also as convenient in Pakistan as anywhere else. The reality is possessing an ID and passport proves thing except that the guy got them illegally.

Pakistan has lost its credibility as far as evidence related to Mumbai 26/11 is concerned. India should not share any sort of evidence with Pakistan on Abu Jundal. Pakistan surely will destroy the linking evidence existing in Pakistan as it did in case of Ajmal Kasab.

If the documents were fake, the Indian side would not unnecessarily weaken their case by presenting them to the Pakistanis.

How many Afghan refugees have Pakistani passports though they were not entitled to get Pakistani citizenship. One side our Indian friends call our govt institutions big time corrupt and now it is hard for them to accept that Abu Hamza got PK Passport by illegal means.

If you are a non resident Pakistani, its mandatory to acquire NICOP ie National ID Card for Overseas Pakiatanis. The NICOP holder doesn't require a visa to enter Pakistan even in case he has lost his Pakistani passport or travelling on a travel document. I hope u have learnt something today.

i dnt see much happening in dossier exchanges and negotiations..pakistan will keep harbouring what world calls terrorists and they call mujahideens in the name of kashmir...but it won't be easy this time for pak, for india has set up quite a few consulates and bases in afghanistan, bordering the restive baluchistan and can use it for similar acts of pakistan, vis-a-viz, kashmir

In today's TOI there's a report which shows an ID card issued to this terrorist by the government where it clearly says, he needs no visa to enter Pakistan. If I am a citizen of a country, I don't need a visa to enter that country. Why mention it? Is it due to some special OFFICIAL affection towards murderers and terrorists?

As long as we have corruption in our Pakistan, even an ISRAELI can make a Pakistani Passport. So, no need to be surprised if Abu Hamza have a Pakistani Passport.

It will not be long before all the evidence is presented to Pakistan who will object it again. That will only leave India to forward the case to the highest Court on earth, ICC. There, once submitted, it will be the beginning to an end. Either Pakistan wakes up now with limited damage or wait for later. Going by its track records it will favor the later as seen with the GLOC with USA/NATO.
