"I had to put on five kg for the role because the script demanded so. Size zero does not exist here in South. I was 48kg, now I am 53kg. Fourty per cent of the shooting has been completed," Veena Malik told IANS.
Currently Veena is shooting for Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga in Bangalore.
"The Dirty Picture in Kannada has got no relation to the Hindi version. Yes, it is the story of Silk but it's a different story. You will have to wait and watch. I am speaking in Kannada in the film. It's not being dubbed."
There is a constant comparison between Veena and Rakhi Sawant, but the Pakistani actress, whose first Bollywood film Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai sank without a trace, says being judged doesn't bother her.
"No, it does not bother me because whenever any new thing comes, people tend to judge it or tag it. I am sure with time things will change. I am new here, so I am being judged. I don't mind that because it is human nature," she said.

@Sanjay: We aren't totally forget our culture yet ..
ET Plz Avoid Unimportant News/updates .
Veena is the most dirty actress today. She has gone out of all the limits of decensy. She must not come to Pakistan. her place is in mumbai.
I don't think it s a news, no one cares what she is up to ....
@Lexmarked Keeping in view the indian style she is still 'dressed'. Shame on Veena and the ones supporting.
But original is still original. Silk is Silk and others ane others.
@Parvez: 53kgs + attitude…… + latitude……………has to be a hit!
@LionOfPunjab: Why are ashamed of you are and feel the need to import american standards to judge society ? you have no honour or bravery of your own ? if UK and China can ban pornography with out being branded Osama why can we ? I think you have inferiority complex
ET please concentrate over issues rather than size zero. there is illiteracy, calss discrimination, poverty, hunger etc. if you want to discuss entertainment then choose some healthy topic.
@Osama to @ Lexmarked
“She can never get same fame in Pakistan,, ’cause we have no room for Nangaism”
She can never get same fame in Pakistan..because we have too many Osamas.
ET - Is it really a news ...
Size 0 is fit only for skeletons.
Pakistani girls can be sexier than Indian girls, there is no doubt. But they need to be open minded like Veena and open up a little bit.
Look how open Indian Punjabi Sunny Leone is. She is now the most famous porn queen in the world, selling millions, setting new records.
But Pakistani Punjabi girls are just too repressed. Just open up and let it go. So everyone can benefit from the beauties.
Veena is incarnation of Silk.
veena is a slap on the conservative society of pakistan.
@bachha yadav... and for whom you have got room for?? sectarians, mass killers who burn trains full of innocent people, dual personality characters and those who spread hate amongst people of other countries so they should fight with each other and divide into pieces.
@Osama: you sir only have room for bin Ladens.
Veena: Why size zero does not exist in south?:(
I request ET please stop spreading yellow journalism and make/raise your standard in the society............
<< I wonder if she could have found the same fame and fortune in Pakistan >> you go where the money is. She knows sex sells. I mean skin. LOL
ET has completely lost it as insane liberals have.
@ Lexmarked "She can never get same fame in Pakistan,, 'cause we have no room for Nangaism"
53kgs + attitude.....................has to be a hit.
I wonder if she could have found the same fame and fortune in Pakistan.
pathetic and pathetic journalism.
@Shahrukh: No one cares about your Indian actresses!!
'Fourty' per cent... - it seems ET or IANS are really impressed by VM.
Why does the article throw the subjective jibe that Veena is equivalent to Rakhi Sawat? Tribune should avoid being judgemental in reporting and avoid tagging people because of the dresses they wear or moral behaviour they possess.
Good luck veena. haters gonna hate. but you are the best. I like you because of your boldness & courage to stand against extremism that deeply rooted in our country.
My best wishes with Veena G!
