Targeted killing: Livestock official slain, body found

QUETTA: A superintendent of the Livestock Department was shot dead in Saryab area of Quetta while a decomposed body was recovered in Naseerabad on Monday.

In a targeted attack unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate firing on Gul Hassan who was returning home after offering prayers in Faizabad area of Saryab in Quetta. The victim sustained critical wounds and died on the spot. Police rushed to the scene of the crime after the incident and moved the body to Civil Hospital Quetta for medico-legal formalities.

Security officials said that an “investigation into the killing is under way to unearth the motive behind the killing.” In a separate incident, a decomposed body was recovered from Dera Murad Jamali Tehsil of Naseerabad.
