Help the women and children

I would urge all doctors in the city to visit these camps, particularly gynaecologists and paediatricians.

KARACHI: Given that two children have reportedly died in camps set for flood victims in Karachi, I would urge all doctors in the city to visit these camps. I would appeal in particular to female doctors, especially gynaecologists and paediatricians given that many of those desperately in need of medical care are pregnant women and children.

The city is home to the country's largest literate adult population and this is the least that we can do for those stricken by the floods.
