Data Darbar attack: Two years later, three suspects arrested

SARGODHA: Three men allegedly involved in the 2010 Data Darbar terrorist attack  in Lahore were arrested from Sargodha, Express News reported on Sunday.

On July 1, 2010, at least 42 people were killed and 175 were injured when three blasts hit Data Darbar. The blasts tore through the shrine complex when scores of people were offering prayers in the Data Darbar, which sits in one of the city’s most crowded neighbourhoods.

One explosion took place in the courtyard of the shrine, one at gate number five and a third in the basement.

Countrywide protests followed the attacks, with people from all walks of life condemning the killing.

@ali gilani: I think Mr. Gilani does meet the common citizens who are fed up with this system and they entered in the dark street where they are unable to find way out. Both the parties have corrupt elements in their folds, which can not be eliminated. Mr. Gilani sitting on far from place you can not judge the sympathy of any one.

I can see right or left parties in future but I still believe that every political party one agenda to support the corrupts regime, as a result of this economically we have lost too much our foreign loan have been double, our currency is continuously facing downward trend, Due to worst load shading of Gas/Electricity, our exports have dropped, this also resulted in massive underemployment. Moreover our foreign investment has touched an alarming figure.

Above all, our so called Right/Left parties have shifted their capital to other capitals, Is this way Right or Left parties work in any country.

@Aurangzeeb Humayun Chowdhry: You are saying all this because you have assumed things. There clearly is polarization in Pakistan, either you are with a group that hates taliban or you are with a group that sympathizes with taliban. You are wrong when you say "I hardly see any right or left wing leader". PPP has always been left wing and PML(N) has always remained right wing. The choice is clear unless you are in a state of denial.
