LAHORE: Warid Telecom with an aim to best serve its customers has introduced ‘Power Pack’ in addition to new SMS bundles. In a press release, Warid says Power Pack is a unique offer which includes 5MB of internet, 5 free on-net minutes and 100 SMS on any network in Rs4.99 plus tax. The new SMS bundles include 500 daily SMS in Rs3.5 plus tax and 1,000 weekly SMS in Rs6.99 plus tax for all networks. According to Warid, Advance Balance is another service which allows its subscribers to get instant advance balance in case they run out of credit. In order to facilitate the customers who make long duration calls, the company has made ‘Ghanta Offer’ which allows the users to choose the hour of their choice to make on-net calls from 12am to 6pm at Rs3.99+tax per hour with daily rental charges of Rs2+tax.

The difference between SMS bundle of Ufone and Warid is: 1. If weekly or fortnightly sms package is consumed before due date it is renewed immediately without any extra charges. Whereas Warid renews it with charges. 2. If there are balance sms at the time of subscribing new package the balance sms are added to new package but Warid doesn't. It was pointed out to Warid helpline but to no effect.
