Warning: ‘Don’t carry fireworks’

DCO Naseem Sadiq directed the transport companies in the district to avoid transportation of fireworks

FAISALABAD: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Naseem Sadiq on Friday directed the transport companies in the district to avoid transportation of fireworks. He warned them of strict action against those found doing so. The DCO was presiding over a meeting to review arrangements ahead of shab-e-barat. He issued directions to all the goods transport companies and shopkeepers in the city. He also directed the raiding teams to accelerate their efforts to locate and stop the preparation, storage, sale and purchase of fireworks in the district. “If a single cracker is found in any shop, the shopkeeper would be sent behind bars,” he said.
