Upper Dir: Eight militants killed

UPPER DIR: At least eight militants were killed and several others injured in retaliation when they attacked the Malathar security check-post in Barawal tehsil of Upper Dir district on Wednesday fro across the Afghani border, security official said.

“Militants took away the bodies along with injured persons,” said an official. Militants refused to hand over the remains of security personnel and instead presented demands to the jirga members who had travelled to Afghanistan to negotiate.
