GILGIT: Police and volunteers recovered the bodies of two labourers, who were trapped under a landslide in a remote valley of Gilgit-Baltistan, sources said on Wednesday. The incident occurred in Yasin valley of Ghizer district, some 150 kilometres from Gilgit. The labourers, Aijaz  and Amjad Khan were working on a hydel power project when they were enveloped by a load of heavy landslide, as a result of recent rains in the region, locals said.  “It took the volunteers more than seven hours to pull out the bodies from under the rubble,” a resident said. The bodies were shifted to a local government hospital for postmortem.
