While Hampshire await the arrival of Shahid Afridi for their Twenty20 campaign, the all-rounder confirmed that he may skip the event due to domestic reasons.
Afridi’s agent Umran Khan said that the all-rounder was likely to feature against Middlesex, a match that took place yesterday. However, the county might miss his services for the entire campaign.
“I am likely to miss the entire season,” Afridi told The Express Tribune. “A few issues may force me to opt out.”
Last season, Afridi took 17 wickets at an average of 11.7 for Hampshire. Apart from his knock of 80 in the semi-final against Somerset, Afridi also registered his best county figures of five for 20 against Gloucestershire.

sad but why is he not playing?
That is bad news since Shahid Afridi played well as a Hampshire Royal after a difficult/stressful stint as captain of cricket team in World Cup last year. All Hampshire/Afridi fans will be disappointed.
