The decision was taken yesterday after top officials from both boards met in Kuala Lumpur on the sidelines of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual conference. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Zaka Ashraf and Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmed discussed the matter with Cricket Australia (CA) officials including chairman Wally Edwards and chief executive James Sutherland.
The matter of broadcasting rights also came under discussion.
“The plan is almost finalised,” a PCB official told The Express Tribune before adding that CA wanted to take their players’ version before finalising the schedule. Earlier, the ICC gave its approval to a six-match Twenty20 series due to hot weather in the UAE where the series is likely to take place.
