LAHORE: Tense relations between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt and Director General Javed Miandad have finally simmered down, according to board officials. This improvement follows the intervention and orders from highest level of the government.
Earlier, Miandad strongly criticised the decision of not including Mohammad Yousuf, Younus Khan and Faisal Iqbal, claiming the decision was made purely on Butt’s directives.
The PCB then issued a show-cause notice to Miandad for issuing the statements, but the former captain demanded the board point out which rules he had violated instead.
