Two held: Arms, explosives seized in Quetta

Car search resulted in the recovery of 20 kg of explosives, two remote-controlled bombs and a home-made device.

QUETTA: The Frontier Corps (FC) and city police on Tuesday recovered a huge quantity of hand grenades, bombs, and explosives, and arrested two suspects. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) FC Sector Commander Brigadier Abdul Rashid said that the suspects were arrested after a police patrol intercepted a car at Immdad Chowk on Zarghoon Road in Quetta. A thorough search of the car resulted in the recovery of 20 kg of explosives, two remote-controlled bombs and a home-made device. The FC personnel arrested the driver who was identified as Danish. Upon interrogation, he led them to a place located on Sariab Road. FC and police personnel raided a building, arresting another suspect identified as Ghulam Yasin.
