Michael Owen is in talks with UAE club Al Shabab, and a deal could be done ‘soon’, according to Sport360. Owen is a free agent after being released by Manchester United last month. The former Liverpool and Real Madrid man had an injury plagued three-years at Old Trafford. Shabab confirmed that they are in talks with Owen. “Owen has been identified as a candidate to play for Shabab and we are in negotiations with his management team. His agent is in Dubai to close the deal.”
