Despite his failure to be ranked in the top-10, Aisam was hoping his victory at the Gerry Weber Open will pave his way into this year’s London Olympics through a wild-card entry. However, he failed on this front.
Aisam, whose loss in the French Open semi-final meant he was not guaranteed a place in the London event, was hoping that his recent form would convince the ITF committee to include his name among the eight available wild-card entrants.
Interestingly, Aisam’s current and former men's doubles partners Jean-Julien Rojer and Rohan Bopanna have secured an entry to the London games.

Thankyou @Para Bellum & @Cosmo for dragging politics in sports... I appreciate your kinda people..! :)
Who deserves better than Aisam? The player who played US Open's final and French Open's semi final in last two years has not given a chance by ITF then I doubt sincerity and credibility of ITF towards Tennis. This seems like a typical sports decision against Pakistan.
@Para Bellum: Well said.
@Pollack: He is paying the price for Pakistans sins. This is very unfair.
Why is it unfair that Pakistanis should pay the price for Pakistan's sins. It is in fact perfectly fair. It would be unfair when non-Pakistanis have to pay the price.
Did Pakistanis current international isolation play a part in this decision since wild card entry is subjective and many things can influence it? Aisam reached the semis of the French open which is a great achievement. He is paying the price for Pakistans sins. This is very unfair.
Dont worry aisam, you are still our hero.
So incredibly sad. It was the last Olympics he could've gone to!
