The chairperson of the World Youth Scrabble Organization Committee Karen Richards of Australia will be visiting the country next month after being invited by the Pakistan Scrabble Association (PSA). She will arrive on July 12 accompanied by her son Alastair Richards, who finished 10th at the last World Scrabble Championship in Poland. Still only 19, Alastair is one of the best scrabble players in the world and a serious contender for the world title. Karen will conduct a workshop for children in Karachi to prepare them for the World Youth Scrabble Championship which will be played in England in December, according to the PSA. She hopes that her visit will pave way for an international scrabble tournament which the PSA is planning in the near future.
