Crime: Robbery case against six cops

FAISALABAD: Sadar police have registered a robbery and trespass case against six policemen, including an assistant sub inspector, on directives of a judicial magistrate. These policemen are accused of breaking into Ashfaq Ahmad’s house in Chak No214-RB and robbing the family of Rs20,000 at gunpoint.

Complainant Ahmed said his younger brothers, Akram and Arshad, were alone at his home when the policemen, including Assistant Sub Inspector Sadar Abdur Razzaq, broke into the house. He said they threatened his brothers with dire consequences if they reported

the matter. On Saturday, the magistrate directed
Sadar police to register a robbery and trespass case against the six accused policemen and disposed of the complaint.
