FAISALABAD: Balochni police have registered an assault case against three men, one of whom is identified, on a complaint of a Faisalabad Electric Supply Company employee. They said teams had been formed to raid the village and arrest the suspect accused of beating Muhammad Iqbal, a lineman with the FESCO, and stopping him from discharging his duty. The complaint stated that Iqbal’s hear and face were shaved by the suspect for trying to disconnect their power supply in Chak No93-RB. He said he had been directed to disconnect the electricity as the suspect had not cleared their bills for several months. He said he was brutally beaten up and later detained in a room, where the suspects shaved his head, eyebrows and face. He said his cries for help attracted some neighbours, who later took him to the rural health centre for first aid.
