A day after Yousaf Raza Gilani was disqualified in a contempt case, opposition Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s chief hit out at the Pakistan Peoples Party, and said “they reaped what they sowed by clashing with the judiciary.”
“Gilani had to go home in shame,” Nawaz Sharif said while addressing a rally in Swat.
“We were with the judiciary in the past, and firmly stand with it today, but disqualification of the prime minister will not solve the real issue, which is to bring back the plundered money from Swiss banks,” Nawaz said.
The PML-N chief criticised the PPP government, and said the party and its coalition partners have left Pakistan bankrupt.
“Today, Pakistan is standing alone in the international community due to wrong policies of the present government. PPP plundered public wealth and transferred it to Swiss banks. We will bring public money back to the country,” he said.
Nawaz asked the people not to support “the most corrupt government which clashes with the judiciary.”
He said his party will change the fate of the Swat valley, and bring about revolutionary change in the development sector of Swat. Nawaz also hit out at rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan.
Leaders who say they will change the current situation in just 90 days are liars, Nawaz said, adding that people who make such claims have no experience in politics nor any expertise.
“PML-N will change things here and serve the people as it has done in the past,” he said, adding that the Punjab government is constructing a kidney hospital in Swat at a cost of Rs760 million.
PML-N leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also criticised Imran, without taking his name.
“Those who talk about tsunami all the time are not aware of real politics,” he said, adding “During my tenure, Pakistan was progressing at a rate faster than any other country in the region.”

a time of PTI now
The problem with you Nawaz Shariff and with Nisar is a very typical case. You corrupt politicians have spoken the lie of your sincerity and progress for so long you have actually started believing your own lies. And to prove your point you tend to point out the few things you achieved that any party in power should have been able to do to begin with. The only thing you are given credit for is not succumbing to international pressures to destroy our nukes. There really is nothing else you did. You didn’t improve the railways, the load shedding or anything in your time either. Pakistan is beyond Punjab and your party has outlived its value. It is only there to usurp NA seats and perform walk outs and just about nothing else of significance. Please keep your democracy. In truth you are the people who are wasting the countries time. Both PML-N and PPP, Let the people who are “actually” sincere take over.
It’s PMLN people who are mostly destroying public property under the cover of general protests that are taking place against the endless power crisis in the country; I myself have seen the evidence. Shame on PMLN leaders who claim otherwise to serve this country. Doesn’t that mean they also are just a buch of hypocrites. It is also provincial government mandate to develop electricity after 18 amendment but I don’t see any step towards it so far. Don’t shift blame nor destroy country. Those who are suppose to provide us electricity are taking part in protest, it is good for political mileage but it will not result any thing fruitful. Message for public is that they should get ready for few more years as these people are helpless.
@Zahir, It is not Jamaat, this is just a bunch of opportunists.
PMLN- Rockss and i think the only Jamat wh can bring change, I thinkwe need to be practical and need to select some one from the pool, this is a vegua statmenet that "we should try some one new" which is not possible so try to select some one who is less corrupt.
cheers
We have seen PML-N government too....
They reaped what they sowed, what says,Asgher Khan's case herein.
why don't they resign from the national assembly is this not allowed in the constitution why are they still all talk and no action why was he so quiet on load shedding which are making people jobless
Nice to see this huge public gathering in Swat..! Credit goes to PMLN
@Paindoo
by attending useless, sleepy and abusive sessions of parliment, issue of people can't be resolved. to address people you need to be on the streets and SS is doing the same. and what changes he has made in punjab to realize this you need to sit in some other province and then look at punjab that what difference he has made there.
He has not spoken against Malik Riaz...wonder why?
Please correct the fcat mr. Nawaz Sharif... Imran Khan says "Nineteen' days :P haha
way to go, PML_N rocks
@ Paindo, please have your eye sight checked. Don't you see flyovers, bridges, roads and other infrastructure built by Punjab governemnt. No one in the world has built so many projects in such a short time. Problem with Punjab is loadshedding and its not Punjab government's fault. All other provinces wish to have Mian Shehbaz Sharif as their Chief Minister.
One water cannon is enough to revert tsunami.
Pakistanis want to bring back looted and plundered money from British and Saudi Banks as well, Mr. Sharif aka Pakistani Charles Sobhraj!
PML-N and PPP are the reason we are in such turmoil situation in the first place. You guys have been eating what rightfully belonged to this country and its people. Thinking you are different than the rest does not make you any better, its just what you politicians are a fan of especially as elections are about to arrive. You guys have failed to deliver any improvement in the Punjab region. People who really do any good, do it without any reasons and prove them otherwise, corruption cannot be justified even if you do make roads and other small development efforts which are a waste without electricity.
Enjoyed three years of coalition government and friendly opposition. Whom are you fooling now?
He is the biggest crook and recently his feet are not staying on the ground as his commitment with zardari is about to become true " pehley taudee baree phir sadee baree". When these blood sucking parasites corrupt politician leave this country.
PMLN ruling punjab since 2008,. What difference have you made? Shebaz Sharif doesn't even have his cabinet and don't like to go to Punjab assembly. Is this what you call a change?
We want real change in Pakistan. I think in future new parties have to emerge where people will have the power and we dont want leaders but we want every Pakistani to change the destiny of Pakistan. We should be leaders of our own destiny. Neither Nawaz nor PPP and Imran could bring any change. PPP is plundered with people who are responsible for Fiefdom in Pakistan. On other hand Industrialists are in PMLN while In PTI is the choice of Every Opportunistic Politicians now a days. People should gear up for real change and should churn new parties that will replace the old filth for good. I was of the view in the past that PTI could bring change but just imagine the Party whose Co Chairman is Javed Hashmi who is a Peer and Another Senior member is Shah Mehmood ( Another Wadaira and Peer) and All Sugar Mill mafias and Legharis and Kasuris are in it so what change are we expecting?. Do something to kick all the of Politicians for a Prosperous country. And also I believe in God and for me Every Pakistani is a Hope for Pakistan and I am not Pessimistic like other Pakistanis who believe only one man can change their destiny and it is their only last hope. Losing hope and thinking of one individual as the demigod is the real profanity in my view
