Disqualified PM: LHC asked to declare budget illegal

LAHORE: A civil miscellaneous application has been filed in the Lahore High Court seeking a declaration that all actions taken by former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani after his conviction on April 26, 2012, are illegal. Advocate Muhammad Azhar Siddique filed the application to attach to an already pending petition against Gilani for occupying the office of prime minister even after his conviction. In the fresh plea, he asked the court to declare the passing of the 2012-13 budget and all transfers and promotions made after April 26 by Gilani illegal. He also requested that all expenses made by him and his cabinet be recovered.
