LONDON: If there's one thing about the conclusion of the Batman series that actor Christian Bale likes, it is the fact that he won't have to slip in to the restrictive costume.

The superhero costume, which he wore while filming The Dark Knight Rises, almost put him in hospital. He is ready to hang up the cowl and cape after filming the forthcoming conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.

Bale admits it was difficult to breathe in it.

"When it gets cold, the cowl is extremely tight, and it gets better the warmer I get it; it becomes more flexible. But, after a couple of takes, I was trying to breathe properly in my nose. I was starting to see stars and I said, 'I have to take this off'," Bale told Empire magazine, reports dailystar.co.uk.

"And thank God, on this one (film) I can - on (first movie) Batman Begins, I couldn't - so I had to get inside because I couldn't let anybody see me without the cowl," he added.
